Speaker FAQs

Thank you for participating in HomeCareCon 2026! HCAF greatly appreciates your support and looks forward to your contribution to this year’s program. Below are answers to frequently asked questions to help guide you through the next steps.

  • Speakers will receive an email from HCAF containing two important links that must be completed.

    (1) Speaker Portal (Fillout Form) — Each speaker will receive a unique Speaker Portal link to review and confirm their information. If your program includes multiple presenters, the program details will be the same for all speakers, but each presenter must confirm their own bio, contact information, and presentation materials individually.

If you are presenting multiple programs, you will receive separate Speaker Portal links for each program. Each link contains the details for one of your programs. Your speaker information (bio, contact details, etc.) will appear in each portal, but you only need to update it once. If changes are needed, you may edit your information using any of the links provided.

Your personalized Speaker Portal allows you to:
    ● Review or update your speaker information
    ● Confirm or edit your program details
    ● Complete the Educational Design Documentation (EDD) required for continuing education (CE) accreditation
    ● Upload presentation materials
    ● Access speaker resources and important deadlines

Most fields are pre-filled with the information we currently have on file and are editable. Please review the information carefully and update anything that needs correction or additional detail.

    (2) VIP Form (Airtable Form) — Speakers will also receive a link to complete the VIP Form, which allows us to coordinate conference logistics.

Through this form you will be able to:
    ● Confirm your conference participation
    ● Provide hotel accommodation details (if applicable)
    ● Indicate volunteer availability
    ● RSVP for optional conference events

Please complete both forms by the deadline listed in your email so we can finalize conference materials and planning.

If you experience any issues accessing or completing the forms, HCAF staff will be happy to assist.

  • HomeCareCon attendance has been growing steadily each year. Last year we hosted over 630 attendees, and we expect to approach our typical 700+ attendee capacity again this year.

Our audience represents a diverse range of organizational structures and sizes, including large integrated health systems, hospital-based agencies, chains, and independent organizations.

Attendees come from both for-profit and nonprofit agencies serving urban and rural communities and working with a variety of payer sources, including Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and consumer payments.

Many attendees hold degrees in nursing, therapy, business, health services administration, and related health care fields.

  • This year’s theme is “Ignite: Spark What’s Next.”
It captures the momentum and bold energy driving Florida’s home care industry forward. HomeCareCon is more than a conference — it’s the spark that helps shape the future of care at home.
Programs should be presented optimistically yet realistically, with a focus on practical strategies and forward-thinking solutions.
Because many attendees are already familiar with industry developments, we encourage speakers to minimize time spent on general overviews and instead focus on:● Emerging industry trends and insights● Innovative ideas and solutions● Practical tools and strategies for implementation● Best practices for operational improvement and growth
Whenever possible, please include examples and references specific to home care. Benchmarking data and real-world case studies are especially valuable to our audience.

  • Please keep the following recommendations in mind when preparing your presentation:● Minimize time spent on general overviews of familiar topics● Present content optimistically but realistically● Share insights into current industry trends and changes● Highlight strategies, tools, and resources attendees can apply immediately● Demonstrate innovative solutions and best practices● Reference home care-specific examples whenever possible● Include benchmarking data or performance insights where applicable
Together, we look forward to bringing this year’s theme to life.

  • As a not-for-profit association, HCAF is unable to provide compensation for speaking engagements and cannot offer complimentary lodging or travel reimbursement for speakers.
However, we are pleased to offer presenters one (1) complimentary conference registration, which includes access to conference programming as well as meals and beverage breaks during the day.
Complimentary registrations are non-transferable and may not be substituted.

  • Please complete the online VIP Form and indicate your availability so we can include you in our catering, seating, and handout counts.
The deadline to complete the form is March 30, 2026.

  • Speakers will be asked to upload their final presentation slides through the Speaker Portal by the deadline listed in the Deadlines section.
Submitting slides in advance allows our team to review materials, confirm formatting, and ensure presentations are loaded and ready prior to the conference.
If updates need to be made after submission, please contact HCAF staff as soon as possible.

  • We encourage all speakers to share their slides and supplemental materials with attendees. To do so, upload a PDF through the Speaker Portal. Many participants appreciate being able to download materials before arriving onsite.
PreCon Workshops: PDF submission is required. HCAF will print and bind copies for all participants due to the longer workshop format.
MainCon Sessions: Printed handouts are not required. Submit a PDF through the Speaker Portal to make your materials available to attendees.

  • Please plan to arrive at your presentation room at least 15 minutes before your program begins. This will give you time to:● Check in with staff● Review your introduction with our volunteers● Confirm your audio/visual setup● Ensure everything is ready to start on schedule
HCAF staff and A/V support will be available onsite to assist if needed.

  • Each presentation room will be equipped with standard audio/visual equipment, including:● Laptop computer● LCD projector and screen● Lavalier microphone● Podium microphone● Podium● Presentation remote
    ● If you require additional equipment or have specific A/V requests, please indicate this in the Session Details section of the Speaker Portal.

  • We would welcome the opportunity to record your program and make it available for purchase through our eLearning website, HomeCareLearn.com.
However, if you prefer not to be recorded, you may indicate this preference within the Session Details section of the Speaker Portal.

  • Help us spread the word! Speakers are encouraged to share the social media graphics below on their websites and social media platforms to promote their upcoming program(s).
